IMPORTANT NOTE: OPENING DELAYED UNTIL MAY 5TH, 2018

We regret to inform you that due to the inclement spring weather with large volumes of rain plus the ice and snow we will be delaying our season opening until Saturday May 5th, 2018. Some of our exhibits are far too wet to have animals out in them and our grounds have not dried sufficiently for our spring path repairs (making them unsafe in parts for visitors and definitely not passable for strollers and wheelchairs). We regret the inconvenience this may cause some people but we hope that you bear with us and join us on Saturday May 5th for season opening instead. We feel that it is simply not safe for our creatures to be out or guests visiting until our grounds have dried up some and allowed us to do our spring repairs/prep work.

Learning That’s Fun!

There’s no better way to learn about the wonderful animals of this world than to experience them up close and in person. Our goal at the Brantford Twin Valley Zoo is to create an enjoyable environment where children (and adults) can learn about animals of the world. Through this we aid in educating people about the importance of wildlife and the environment.

During observation of the wide assortment of animals at the Zoo, children can learn about the animals’ adaptations (like the stripes on a zebra), needs (type of food they eat), and characteristics (fur or feathers). Our educational presentation lets children experience some smaller animals and babies up-close. The knowledgeable Zoo staff explain how certain animals change as they grow, their natural habitats, and why they are important to that habitat.

Make the Zoo become the extension of your child’s classroom!
